About
Luke Coppen was born in Hampshire, England, in 1976. He read Religion and Politics of Africa and Asia at the University of London, where he also worked as film editor of the London Student newspaper. After graduating from the Cardiff School of Journalism, he joined The Catholic Herald as a reporter. He was appointed editor in 2004. He has also worked for The Times and the Daily Telegraph newspapers. He is married and has a daughter.
I recently decided to move my Editor’s Briefing blog over to WordPress. The blog typically consisted of long, analytical posts on Catholic Church affairs. While retaining that analytical spirit, I want to react more swiftly to events and provide a kind of clearing house for news about the Church in Britain and the rest of the world.
